So who are the Friends of Grimsbury Farm?
The Friends of Grimsbury farm was formed in April 2006 when a group of local residents got together with South Gloucestershire Council to try to secure and improve this valuable community facility for the future.
We were very concerned that this old farm was being neglected and that its full potential was not being realised. We were lucky to find a contact on the council that felt exactly as we did and who has worked closely with us since the beginning. We also have the full support of a number of local councillors who have openly thanked us for our efforts to make improvements.
What do we do?
From running the café and holding various events through the year to helping with improments to the farm, campaigning for funding to simply promoting the farm, the work the Friends do is varied so there's plenty to get involved with, no matter what skills you have or how much time you can spare.
Want to get involved?
Since our inception, the Friends groups has grown but of course we are always keen to see new volunteers, regardless of age or ability. If you want to get involved, no matter how much time you can spare, please come to one of our regular meetings or get in contact. Our details are on our contact us page, we'd love to hear from you...
